Who Should Attend?

This tutorial is designed for researchers and experts from communities involved in data intensive research and analysis.  This will include:

q       Researchers and analysts 

q       Government departments with responsibility for large data sets

q       Policy makers

q       Domain specialists

q       IT technical specialists

Agenda

The tutorial will cover generic data management infrastructure.  It includes three sessions, the first covers general aspects and leads on to more specific issues and an implementation example.

Cost

The cost of the tutorial is completely subsidised by the Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories.  APSR is funded to do outreach work in this area by the Department of Education, Science and Training as part of the Commonwealth Government's "Backing Australia's Ability - An Innovative Action Plan for the Future".

Places however are strictly limited, and all attendees must be registered, so prompt confirmation of your intention to attend is advisable.

Parking

The Peter Baume Building is Building 42A on the ANU campus.  Parking is available nearby and accessible from North Road.

Accommodation

Participants who plan to visit Canberra for this event will be responsible for arranging their own accommodation.  Canberra offers a wide range of accommodation.  Those wanting to stay on campus may like to stay at University House, situated about 10 minutes walk from the Peter Baume Building.
